You Got This!
I have experienced a theme this past week- a pervasive theme that’s been a focus of those I am working with through my counseling practice, my coaching practice AND in interactions with those I am serving in my role as a Consultant. The theme of CONFIDENCE.
I intentionally used “experienced” v. “noticed” or “observed” in my opening statement because each of the persons I’m working with has directly stated that their immediate focus is build their confidence.
What strikes me is that each of them recognizes that they possess personal agency– they believe that they can achieve their goals. They’ve already thought about their goals, performance targets and laying out action steps. They’re eager to persistently implement those action steps toward their self-defined success. They’re in tune with the fact that strengthening their confidence, navigating stress & self-doubt, and engaging aligned support as a self-management strategy is key to their success. They’ve all engaged me as one of those aligned supports through which to learn and adapt, rethink their strategies, monitor their progress, make effective adjustments, and celebrate each and every win.
It’s an honor to share the journey with each one I get to work with and witness their ah-ha moments, the positive self-statements and reflections, the emerging convictions, and the self-proclaimed pride of the efforts they’re making, as well as the incremental successes.
