Create your digital vision sanctuary

Many of us leverage our cell phones as a centralized space for apps that serve to motivate, prompt, hold accountable, and reward us for our efforts with our physical health- tracking our nutritional intake, movement, and health metrics.  Some of us make a practice of apps to manage our mental health- stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms.

I encourage you to adapt this “motivate, prompt, hold accountable and reward” concept in developing a standard of practice for rhythms that nurture your personal sanctuary.

Create a digital album in your phone- preserving that album solely for taking and storing images that symbolize your desired calm, peace and fulfillment. Like the notion of a vision board, continue to add images that capture experiences & interactions, people, places & spaces, related feelings/emotions, etc. Include images that currently yield your calm and peace, as well as images that reflect what you’re striving for.

The beauty is- the meaning of images need only make sense to you.

Make this digital vision sanctuary a part of your daily rhythm.  Make time each day- at a time most meaningful for you- to scroll through your album, cultivate a sense of calm and peace, and remind yourself of what you’re striving for.  Leverage your digital vision sanctuary just as you may do with other phone apps- let it serve to motive, prompt, hold accountable and reward you as you craft the harmonious conditions and make decisions throughout your day that will foster your success in achieving what you’re striving for.

Here’s one of mine- so much depth, so much meaning for me, and such symbolism of the calm, peace and fulfillment I’ve designed for my life. I am soaking up calm and peace on my three week vacation in Gold Canyon, AZ.
